Simon Lewis has been creating exceptional handmade jewellery from his Hatton Garden workshop for over 30 years. What began as a passion for precious metals and gemstones has grown into one of London’s most respected bespoke jewellery practices, trusted by clients who value genuine craftsmanship over mass production.
Based at 62 Hatton Garden in the heart of London’s historic diamond district, Simon Lewis Jewellers specialises in bespoke engagement rings, wedding bands, diamond rings, eternity rings, necklaces and bracelets. Every piece is designed and handcrafted on-site by our team of skilled artisans – never outsourced, never factory-made.
Simon’s approach combines traditional artisan techniques with contemporary design principles. Working in platinum, 18ct gold and ethically sourced precious metals, the workshop produces jewellery that balances timeless elegance with personal expression.
Education has always been central to Simon’s practice. He has trained more than ten apprentices in the craft of fine jewellery making, passing on skills that take years to master – from hand-setting diamonds to precision metalwork. Two of his mentees have gone on to win the Young Designer of the Year award, a testament to the standard of training provided in our workshop.
Simon also works alongside Elliott and Vincent, who are partners in a sister company and bring additional expertise and creative perspective to the team.
We work exclusively with GIA certified diamonds, ensuring every stone meets the highest standards of quality, cut, clarity, colour and carat weight. Our gemstones – including rubies, sapphires and emeralds – are sourced from reputable suppliers worldwide under environmentally responsible procedures.
Ethical sourcing is not a marketing statement for us; it is a fundamental part of how we operate. We know the provenance of every material that enters our workshop, and we are committed to responsible practices at every stage of the supply chain.
When you visit Simon Lewis Jewellers, you are not visiting a showroom – you are entering a working jewellery studio. You can watch our craftsmen at their benches, discuss your design in person and see exactly how your piece will be made. This transparency is part of what sets us apart from high-street jewellers and online retailers.
As part of our commitment to education and hands-on experience, we open our workshop on Saturdays for couples who want to learn how to make each other’s wedding bands. It is a personal, guided experience led by our master craftsmen, and one of the most memorable ways to begin your journey together.
Whether you are looking for a bespoke engagement ring, a custom piece of fine jewellery, or a professional repair and restoration service, we invite you to visit us at 62 Hatton Garden and experience the difference that genuine craftsmanship makes.
